Two of these were purchased from Revain in the same order and the boxes arrived a few days apart. When they arrived the boxes were almost torn to shreds during the shipping process due to the apparent mishandling and the weight of these items. After we had examined the devices ourselves for visible damage (there was nothing there apart from the boxes), we removed them and put them into operation. A day later, both units failed. One fan ran constantly, even with no load connected, and the other fan made an awful noise when turned on. Had to call Tripp Lite and get RMA numbers for both. They ship replacement units but I have to send them back to the manufacturer, which will cost at least a few hundred dollars in shipping. Any money I saved by buying online was offset by the additional shipping cost and the time I had to spend exchanging it. I recommend buying them locally if possible. Don't assume the devices are necessarily faulty, but they don't stand up to the usual shipping abuse.
