Don't heat regular lightbulbs enough to melt the wax.
So if you're thinking that you're going to the grocery store to buy replacement bulbs for your wax melter, you're wrong. I think you need special lightbulbs to heat the wax enough to melt it. And now I should have lightbulbs for three or four years. Well spent more on the bulbs that didn't melt the wax so I'm happy with the purchase.
