I received this MicroSD adapter because I only have (old) USB-A ports and only (new) ports on some of my computers have USB C with others. This adapter elegantly solves this problem. I've been using this MicroSD adapter for a few weeks now and I'm very happy with it. Here's why: Benefits -----* Versatile. Works with all five computers I've tested it with and multiple MicroSD cards of different sizes from different manufacturers.* Doesn't corrupt data, even on large MicroSD cards or when written to for hours in high heat.* Small. It's just over a quarter (see my photos for comparison).* Lightweight.* Pretty well done Cons -----* SLOW! I've used many microSD adapters in my career in IT and this one is pretty slow. It's not the worst I've tried, but it certainly doesn't win any awards for speed.* The USB-A connector can be inserted backwards. It won't work if you do this. Luckily, if your computer doesn't see this MicroSD adapter when it's plugged in, the solution is simple: flip it! * Warms up when recording for several hours, although this is to be expected. Despite these shortcomings, I give this MicroSD adapter five stars because it does exactly what it's supposed to do, and does it well. I wouldn't hesitate to take another one or recommend it to a friend.
