Review on πŸ”Œ SoftHeat Luxury Fleece Electric Heated Blanket - Queen Size, Slate Blue (with Safe & Warm Low-Voltage Technology) by Kevin Caldwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Own two - love them both!

I have two. Both purchased from Revain. I have no idea why I'm not a verified buyer. In any case, this blanket needs some thought. With low voltage, you get virtually no utility bills. I accidentally left them on and never saw an electrical jump. Since I have two and use them daily (one on my sofa for daytime comfort and one on my bed) I know if the electricity bill changes monthly/seasonally. It's not like this. Low voltage is also a potential issue due to the built in tiny wires used for heating. Just last week an old ceiling (about 5 years old) had a problem for the first time. Upon closer inspection, I found that the wires of the receiver built into the ceiling were broken. I think it will happen eventually. I was able to reconnect the wire by soldering it and using shrink wrap to seal the connection. To do this, it was necessary to open the blanket by cutting a small tab in the fabric. Not something everyone would like to do. But it's low voltage. This should add another year or two to the life of the duvet. IF I didn't, the duvet is still worth the price and wonderful comfort I get from this type of duvet. Only those who have such a thing can really know how pleasant the warmth is. Warms very evenly with no hot spots. I have a queen bed but bought a smaller size because sometimes I like to escape the heat at night when I wake up hot. I hope this review helps you choose.
