Can easily start a fire

Be careful! I felt the same as other users. I woke up to the smell of burning plastic. And judging by the pictures, it looks like it burns a hole in the same place in the transformers every time. I'm so glad I made it before it caught fire. The controls also felt very cheap, the display isn't even digital. There's a reason this blanket sells for 25% of its "retail" price. Yes.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not the best

This blanket adopts high-frequency low-voltage computer-type switching power supply. Although it claims to comply with FCC Part15 standards, it causes so much radio interference (radio interference) that it's impossible to listen to the radio nearby if it's covered with a blanket. The heating wires in the ceiling probably act like a long antenna for power supply noise, which I don't want to sleep under.

Pros
  • Fine workmanship
Cons
  • Long time

Very happy with the blanket itself

Very happy with the blanket itself. The wires inside are never felt and it doesn't look like an ordinary thermal blanket. However, the cables that run from the controller to the ceiling are fragile and actually extend from the plug into the ceiling. I bought this blanket in July and have only recently used it. The blanket turned off after the wires were disconnected. Could someone post contact info like seller's email address? Also, I don't understand why Revane is still selling his blanketโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Without instructions

The coldest electric blanket I've ever had.

If I could give zero stars I would. If you don't mind going to bed and freezing for 5 hours and then waking up sweaty, then this is the blanket for you. It comes with a red sticker that says "This duvet doesn't feel warm to the touch" and suggests starting high and tweaking the settings if you see which setting works best. Unless you have a hot temper, this blanket will not keep you warm in a 60 degree bedroom. I have had several different brands of electric blankets in my life, they are allโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Own two - love them both!

I have two. Both purchased from Revain. I have no idea why I'm not a verified buyer. In any case, this blanket needs some thought. With low voltage, you get virtually no utility bills. I accidentally left them on and never saw an electrical jump. Since I have two and use them daily (one on my sofa for daytime comfort and one on my bed) I know if the electricity bill changes monthly/seasonally. It's not like this. Low voltage is also a potential issue due to the built in tiny wires used forโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Vulgarity

The knob on the old style duvets is a thermostat you can hear clicking all night. Old controllers switch on / off at maximum heat - in addition, they measure the temperature in the room. I understand that many people want to feel that sudden warmth, but in my case I wanted a duvet that would stay warm all night. This low voltage blanket works differently. The controller does not cycle on/off; These controls provide continuous power to the wires, so the amount of heat generated by the blanket is

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Generally good, but...

Some things you weren't told

I've had three low voltage electric blankets for different beds before and fell in love with the technology. I won't go into all the details because you wouldn't be here checking them out if you didn't already know the ins and outs. I just want to add a few personal observations to what you already know. First, for some reason, there are places that believe things like this should cost a fortune. The technology here is not rocket science, a low-voltage ceiling should not cost more than a normal

Pros
  • Pleasing
