First let me say that I have combination skin. I have very dry skin around my mouth and oily skin on my cheeks and nose with large pores. I have tried many products for combination skin but like ANY product it either leaves my cheeks greasy or dry around my mouth. My main problem is my large pores which are very visible. My skin care routine consists of washing my cheeks, forehead and nose with an exfoliant to shrink pores. Then use a washcloth to wipe my nose because it's prone to blackheads. I avoid rinsing my mouth with anything other than water because it's very dry. When I dry my face, I lightly dry my nose with a towel again. I then apply the toner to my cheeks, nose and forehead, again avoiding the area around my mouth. Then I wet my face. I then re-wet the skin around my mouth and sometimes put lotion on the area if it's still too dry. After letting it dry, I put on my makeup. Now that you know what a crazy routine I'm on, let me tell you the only thing I've changed is the exfoliation. Didn't realize it when I bought it, but it's not soap. I have this shampoo for my pets (not a soapy shampoo) but it never even occurred to me that they could do this with cleansers and scrubs. I thought it was perfect, I NEED something that doesn't have soap! This time I washed it all over my face. I have never felt my face so clean! I mean, I make face masks at home and use masks, but I've never felt like this! Usually, after washing, I immediately feel that the area around my mouth is dry. I didn't feel it this time, at least not that much. I didn't feel the need to dry my nose with a towel either. I made a tonic as usual. This time hydrating the skin around my mouth I only needed ONCE! And my cheeks didn't look as oily as the day before. My skin was so even, it glowed. It improved the look of my pores so much that if I didn't know better I would have thought I would put on makeup. I actually sat there staring at my skin because I couldn't believe my pores had changed. Seriously, I went from orange peel to almost normal. I'm so impressed with this product, it's like they made it especially for me. I couldn't dream of anything more perfect for my skin. I actually forgot how much I paid for it and saw that I actually paid the same amount for my other exfoliant that was specifically formulated to improve the appearance of pores. This scrub does part of the work this does. And it smells so good! I can only recommend this for people with enlarged pores and combination skin!
