Strap B FITS RB67 (and RZ67)

There have been a few bad reviews on this strap suggesting that 'B strap' does not fit Mamiya RB67 so let's get this straight : It fits just great. It took me a few minutes to figure it out, but it works. I'll add some photos to show how it's done on the RZ67, which uses the exact same lugs as the RB67. The main thing to remember is that the metal end of the clamp is NOT solid (although it looks that way at first glance). They are two pieces with spring tension holding them together. By pressing the tab against the inside of the clamp you can separate the two parts, widen the opening and snap the tab into place. Next you need to make sure that no part of the metal clip is hanging from the outside of the bar. If it is, slide it towards the camera until the entire block is out of that round outer part of the bar. Then slide the black plastic piece down so it tucks under these two small tabs on the back of the metal clip. This plastic wedge ensures that the two halves of the clip never come loose accidentally. com for a video explaining how it's done. Now, as for the strap itself, it's just gorgeous. I've never owned a strap for this camera before, so I can't compare it to other straps or the claimed 50% weight reduction. I can definitely say that holding it in your hand makes a huge difference and it's amazingly comfortable when worn around the neck. The padding is soft and thick, and the inside has a non-slip coating that works well when worn on the shoulder. It's designed to stretch a bit and act as a shock absorber of sorts and I'm sure that's part of how they rate the apparent weight reduction. There is a bar at the top that prevents the elastic part from stretching too far, preventing it from becoming a spring-loaded projectile in extreme cases. The foam part of the strap can be removed with some strong clips. So if you have multiple cameras you can just buy the ends from the company and attach the foam part to whatever camera you are currently using. Or you can replace the foam part of the strap with another one. I'm not sure why you need this, but you can do it if you want. All in all, this is a great strap and well worth the money if you're currently holding a beast like this.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
