It's cheaply made like most pocket watches you'll find these days, but it's cheap too so who cares! The clasp flexed very quickly, so I'm glad I went with a design that allows you to see your face through without opening it. It opens but no more and when I close it I have to hold the button down while I close it for the clasp to hold it in place. This is my second pocket watch with this design and it has been on both. They tell the time VERY well. I use this five days a week at work and rarely have to adjust the time. It held up well in the pocket and hit the tree a few times but kept ticking! Mine didn't have ESS on the face which was nice.
