Understand, this is a great fireplace. Great features and looks too. But this review is about installation. The instruction manual is a mini disaster. I made a 2x4 wall to create a free-floating, sunken setup. The unit should be attached to the 2x4 frame rather than to the back panel. The instructions do not cover this setting. Also, I figured out how to wall mount the fireplace, which led me to how to screw on the detachable front when my fireplace is recessed into this new wall. The nice lady at the helpdesk gave me the answers. They sent me a video guide on how to repair the chimney, which is duplicated by "Repair". The front of the fireplace attaches to the top air intake grille by adding a screw. There is a threaded hole that fixes the front. Problem solved. Even if the original bottom screw is not installed, the f/p faceplate will not fall out. Moral of the story - Customer service is outstanding. You will support us.
