I have been able to use this tenderizer on several types of meat. Some meats include chicken, steak, salmon steak, and some pork. When it comes to cleaning, I can either soak it or just throw it in the dishwasher and it comes out clean and ready to use again. Fits in my drawer and doesn't take up much space. The handle is very strong, but the handle cover has not yet been removed or even started to be removed. No matter which side I use, I can either flatten or tenderize a piece of meat. I was able to use the side with the larger pins for the steaks, which allowed the seasonings I used to penetrate the steak better. When it comes to chicken, I use the smaller side, and the chicken breasts I buy are quite large and thick, but with this tenderizer, they flatten out so I don't have to fillet them first.
