For me, consisting of one person, this is the perfect size. Being able to buy and freeze larger quantities at a cheaper "family price” saves me money. (Chicken thighs were $0.79 a pound but pack 5#😳) While I could fit 4 in each bag, I usually freeze in packs of 2. Overripe bananas (3 large, 4 medium - just what is needed for a banana bread recipe) fits perfectly. I also use them in the pantry to make homemade cookie mixes. Half a batch fits in any pocket and is great to have on hand (they make great thank you gifts too). These seal well. I use a marker to identify the packing date.
