Need it for work

I used this to hang the game boards on the wall so I could take them off when we wanted to play. It was advertised that the sticky side would not damage the wall. I applied it lightly and it came off a bit so I just wanted to move it around a bit and it ripped the paint and plaster off the wall. There were 4 trays for game boards, two remained in order. Two others fell off the wall and did not hold on at 4:30 this morning. They threw me out of bed with a bang. So disappointed. I don't know why 2 stayed and 2 didn't. Not at all happy with the damage to the wall.
