Review on 📲 CARLINK ASCL6 Remote Start Cellular Interface Module: Start Your Car via Phone with 1 Year Included by Ken Reiff

Installed in Tundra 2014 with Start-X remote start (3 clicks to start). I had to scour the internet for hours to get this to work. Even their website is terrible. For Tundra, use one of the included wire harnesses with the smallest black connector and plug that black connector into the small blue socket on the Start-X module. It is not even necessary to connect the black/red wires. Once you have this plugged in, turn the key to start (not start), then turn off, then start. So, run again, away, run, now look for the red light next to the small cut yellow wires on the Start-X module. When you see this, press the brake pedal 4 times and the light should now be flashing rapidly. Wait 2 minutes and then turn off the car. Now it should work through the app. This is for 2014 Tundra, can't comment on other cars. The app itself is fine. When you enter your vehicle and serial number for the first time, it goes into test mode for 4 hours. Then for some reason it disappeared and I had to re-enter the truck into the application where it was written. To find the car's GPS locator, move the bottom arrow up and it's the left harmless floor. They hide this function. Not sure why. Besides, it works great. can also work at a distance of 50 miles thanks to cellular communication. Temperature isn't accurate but provides battery voltage, which is nice. I only recently installed this and will update this review in a few months - sooner if there are any issues. 1 star for the app and 1 star for the bad documentation. Update: A few months later this still works great. The only problem is that I now have a large 12.1 inch linkswell Android head unit and the airbag light stays on when powered from Carlink. Linkswell believes this is because when the vehicle is started, the accessories aren't getting power and the airbag light isn't registering. I'm trying to find a way around this. Currently I have to start it with Carlink, get in the truck, turn it off, then start it with the key so that the airbag light is off. The number of stars in my rating has not decreased because it is not a factory setting.
