Drains car battery to death and you will need a jump start

Item works as it should Install was pretty easy by hooking it up to my Flashlogic remote start. However, this device is similar to a cell phone that is always on. It's in always-on mode. Because of this, it drains the car battery when plugged in. This will leave you stranded. mfg tech support told me that carlink is not recommended for use in BMW. However, I don't see how it can be used in every vehicle and not have the same battery draining effect.

Randomly starts the car without input.

Absolutely unsafe device! I installed it according to the instructions and just before I closed the garage door with the car in it, it accidentally started my car. I didn't even press the start button. Turned my car off only to have the car restart while in the car with the door open and my car key was not in the car with me. Obviously to avoid a fatal situation with my car in the garage attached to my house, I parked it outside only to accidentally lock/unlock/start my van. I had to remove it…

How painful! in Autoelectronics

Apparently the device received via VOX is being used by another account. I have no choice but to send it back. Received a new one and the instructions are sketchy at best. You have to find out what protocol your system is using and then flash your system and then they call the boot x module something else "EVOALL" JEBUS JOSABINE CHRIST! You could have at least mentioned it. All you get is a brochure that explains how to use the app. It worked on my 2015 Highlander but my goodness what a pain in

Mobile Car Starter Best in Car Audio

Just installed with my Flashlogic remote starter on a 2012 Mercedes E350 W212. Was really easy to make, just plug and play. Then wait for the green light, which only lasted a few minutes, and the instructions from the YouTube video. Works great no problems. Simply download the app from the Play Store, but it can also be used with an Apple phone. Giving 4 stars only because of the facilities it has to offer. Also, I didn't really like the (2) buttons, one for start and one for stop, located…

Good product! Medium difficulty for me at least

First of all, this product is great! I have a 2021 Tundra SR5 and installed the startX remote start myself and then added this module to be able to remote control from my phone and from a distance greater than the range of the remote control. The GPS part of this module is also good. This allows my truck to cool down longer in the Texas heat and comes in handy when my family is ready to go somewhere. Start X has great support and was able to help me get this working. If you install on Tundra…

Works perfectly. Terrible instructions because there are none. Tundra 2014

Installed in Tundra 2014 with Start-X remote start (3 clicks to start). I had to scour the internet for hours to get this to work. Even their website is terrible. For Tundra, use one of the included wire harnesses with the smallest black connector and plug that black connector into the small blue socket on the Start-X module. It is not even necessary to connect the black/red wires. Once you have this plugged in, turn the key to start (not start), then turn off, then start. So, run again, away…

Highly recommended for the price.

Works as intended with no unexpected setup or usage issues. Used with Fortin Evo RS. Cons: The signal is a little worse than a cell phone so in the area where I get 1 bar on my phone it's spotty on this one. I don't really care as it's parked right outside so remote start still works with the factory remote. Installed in the A-pillar, which seemed to work better than under the dash, but YMMV. Pros: Fast connection on Chrysler 300 between locks with app/factory remote/door knob and app showing…

I installed the iDatastart HCX module - it works fine, Alexa Skill MIA

I installed the iDatastart HCX remote start module in my 2011 Honda Pilot a year ago. In the Michigan winter, it was great to start the car and warm it up before heading to school in the morning. I liked this system because I didn't want to use an extra key fob like other systems. It uses a factory Honda key and you press the lock button three times quickly. However, it is line of sight and the range is not that great. I used to keep one of my key fobs in one of the upstairs bedrooms which was…
