We have a cat with serious separation problems and a new sofa that we need to protect at all costs because we had to buy it because it ruined our last one. Mamba blankets work. Plain and simple. She had a particularly rough week, peeing on the couch every day when we were at work or away from home. We use double size and sofa size to cover both sides of our oversized cut and voila! She peed on the blanket even trying to cover it up leaving little scratch marks on the blanket and NOTHING got through to the couch. We easily remove small stains with an enzyme cleaner, but we have had to put blankets in the wash twice to get a more thorough cleaning. We clean them separately and leave them in the dryer for about an hour and a half, but there were no problems. Sometimes the edges are still a bit damp after drying, but once we lay them out, they dry quickly. Mind you I use a small apartment washer and dryer, nothing fancy or high tech. Nothing comes through even after washing, which means nothing gets in or on our sofa. I can't tell you how much this means to us, it was hard to deal with her problems and I couldn't even think of giving her up so I could have something that will help protect more expensive potential damage, save lives . These are worth every penny!
