Doesn't work best with cables and adapters

I have this so I don't have to take the switch dock with me when I travel, but I've connected it to a few different things and it does what I can of neither of them connect to the TV. So I haven't tried anything, switch, computers, phones nothing and all instructions have been followed. One star because there was nothing less to give
