I have a used BMW which of course came without a key. I bought this set thinking it would be cheaper than paying the dealer to remove the locking lugs and I get a new tool kit. win/win, right? Not as much. Did it work? Like, something like. On 3 it worked, on the last one it went out. It is an extremely soft metal, not hardened. Tolerance is also a little disappointing. Mine fit three grommets and they all had good play. This is probably not ideal if only one of the set is to fit. He not only ripped off the key but also destroyed my lock so now I have to replace them too. This set clearly does not stand up to repeated use. I recommend either buying a better set or asking the dealer to order the correct key for you.
