Review on πŸŽ€ SAM Medical Pink Splint Roll, Pack of 2 by Randy Salgado

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This thing pulled me out of the canyon with a broken ankle.

When I broke my ankle in Fat Man's Misery Slot Canyon in East Zion National Park, I didn't even know about SAM Splints. However, there was a doctor in my group who had one and he put it on my leg. I had a Vet Wrap in my pack which I wrapped around the tire to further stabilize it. Then I "walked" 9 miles, which took 15 hours. I say "hike" in quotes because the terrain was extreme without even getting lost, which we did. My trip included steep climbs and descents, rock climbing/bouldering, and a few extra impromptu trail descents. I didn't have to CONSTANTLY remove or adjust the brace and it remained supportive and comfortable (as comfortable as one could expect) while my shorts were torn to the point where they were hanging down on me by the time we got back to the hospital. Automobile. I didn't do it this time, but I was able to clean the tire and re-roll it for later use. YOU NEED THIS PRODUCT. After returning from a trip, I bought several different sizes. I strongly recommend combining it with Vet Wrap, which can be bought cheaply at any farm store like IFA. This is a roll of stretchy fabric that is usually sold in light colors. It is also sold for human use but is more expensive. I'm sure it's the same.
