A must have first aid kit

Whether you hike, bike, boat or do anything else that can cause injury, everyone should have this first aid kit on their first -Have help box. Making a brace out of sticks and stuff is fine, but this one is better, it's clean, light, strong, flexible, and pliable. Clear recommendation.

Lightweight and easy to use.

Great price for a great product! I didn't have to use it in real life (thankfully) but I've practiced with it many times and it's very easy to use and lightweight. numerous videos on the Internet that teach how to use the SAM bus. Ideal for transport to the IFAK or as an addition to a simple first aid kit.

Great Product!: Braces, Splints and Supports

These are great temporary splints that can be reused! I keep one in my game bag in case you spill water in the woods. I also have one in my truck just in case. They are great for temporary housing for support until you see a doctor. I definitely recommend having one or two, especially for hiking, hunting, camping, skiing, etc.

Pros
  • Very Good Value

Excellent stuff. Knowledge is not included.

Light, compact, functional. does what it's supposed to do as long as you know what to do with it. I've carried one of these Sam splints with me in my first-aid kit for many years. It won't magically heal you if you break your arm in the wild and don't get first aid training, but it can be used to splint a variety of injuries with a little imagination and a basic understanding of splinting . Otherwise, it's a good cushion to sit on until the ambulance arrives.

The same as in the army

We had that when I served as a doctor's assistant in the army. Great product, easy to use, lightweight. If you like hiking, exploring, kayaking, or other off the beaten path adventures in areas away from medical care, this is awesome. Keep one in your pack with a top-notch bandage and you can fix and stabilize a broken (or suspected fracture) limb. Just like your tourniquet, you need to learn how to use it properly, but luckily there are many free learning options online, from tutorials to…

This thing pulled me out of the canyon with a broken ankle.

When I broke my ankle in Fat Man's Misery Slot Canyon in East Zion National Park, I didn't even know about SAM Splints. However, there was a doctor in my group who had one and he put it on my leg. I had a Vet Wrap in my pack which I wrapped around the tire to further stabilize it. Then I "walked" 9 miles, which took 15 hours. I say "hike" in quotes because the terrain was extreme without even getting lost, which we did. My trip included steep climbs and descents, rock climbing/bouldering, and a
