Let me say the thin Mechanix gloves are the best and twice the price. I now have these gloves with synthetic palms that are said to have a pretty good grip, but don't rely on them unless you have a really strong grip. I have another pair that I think would be good for wheelchair users but they were slightly better than these and I will still wear them when it's cold enough. To grab things and not slip, a wrench on a bolt, a knife slicing through recycled cardboard, you must have Mechanix, a thin leather composite, for self-defense. Sure, they're flimsy and won't last more than a few years with regular use, but they work.
