Review on Speck PixelSkin Rubberized Touch Purple by Shantel Griffin

This is the first case you should buy for your iPod Touch and you won't regret it.

Stop worrying about which case to buy for your new $175-$350 iPod Touch. This is the best all-purpose case you will find. It will fit both 2nd Gen iTouch and all new 3rd Gen iTouch (8GB, 16GB, 64GB) as they are all EXACTLY the same size. It feels very good in the hand and the pixelated or square pattern on the sides and back makes it feel good in the hand. It's rubberized, which means it's durable, will hold its shape, yet is flexible enough to slip on and off easily (over and over) when you want to charge it in the speaker dock. * The case covers all 4 edges and offers good protection. .*The inside of the case is very soft and won't scratch your iPod.*The bottom of the case has an open slot that allows you to charge your iPod Touch on your computer using the USB cable that came with your iPod. The headphone jack is also open for ease of use. Nothing in the case back design prevents this from being very easy. * The top of the case covers the screen very little, meaning it doesn't block the ambient light sensor in any way. * The home button is covered, but there is a small notch in the lid and a small square to mark where it is. using the keyboard or playing games that I have experienced. It's possible that if you have very large fingers, you may have trouble pressing something in the extreme lower right and left corners; but this can be a problem with any case that overlaps the bottom of the case in any way.* If the iPod is placed face down on a table or even dropped flat, the screen will not make physical contact with the surface and there is a risk of scratches or even worse because the cover slightly lifts and protects them. It's actually easier to adjust the volume with them than without the case. The volume rocker on the iPod Touch itself has sharp edges that soften it. The best part about this feature is that the sleep/wake button and volume rocker are completely enclosed, keeping dirt out. *It is available in a beautiful range of colors. Note, however, that darker colors like black and blue may have more dust or lint. I have the blue one and I really like it, but I'd like a light color like yellow so I can see it better in a bag/package filled with lots of other things. * The case is fairly thin, not as minimal as a slider case, but slider cases don't really protect the iPod if dropped, and many don't have earbuds, so the back of the iPod can get scratched. The slider cases look very chic and to charge in the docking station you only have to remove the lower part; However, many people have trouble removing the bottom of slider cases, and some don't stick together very well. So you won't regret buying this case for the $11-13 they cost. You will feel your expensive iPod safe when you put it in your purse/backpack/bag. This cover will not rip, rip or rip. The only downsides I see, and I think they're minor compared to the upsides: - Many charging stations require the case to be removed to install. I have one that fits the body but I've been looking for it for a very long time. Removing the case is very easy, it takes about 2 seconds. Since the case is made of rubber rather than smooth plastic, it might not slip into your pocket as easily, but at least it won't slip out as easily either. - You need to buy a screen protector, this case does not include it. But they can be bought very cheaply ($1-5) here at Revain. You don't need the most expensive screen protector. The glass doesn't scratch easily, so you only need minimal barrier against scratches or in case you accidentally put your keys in the same pocket. As you can see I really like this product and I know you will too. Speck PixelSkin Rubberized Case for iPod touch 2G, Blue
