previously worn. Diapers (Pampers Swaddlers, size NB) seemed to make matters worse. SIZE This seems to be one of the main concerns of potential buyers, so I'll cover it here in as much detail as possible. Size 1 is for children from 4 to 9 pounds. I can't imagine how a child weighing under 7 pounds (let alone a 4 pound baby!) could fit in this diaper. Unless it looks like the diaper version from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, that range isn't possible. For reference, my baby was about 21 inches and 8.5 pounds when we switched to this diaper. A size 1 was HUGE on her. But the durability, absorbency, softness and overall quality were second to none, so we let it work until it grew into it. Bambo size 1 was the largest (see my photo of all diapers side by side). She is about as wide as Naty but 1/2 inch taller and has a slightly looser fit than Naty despite their seemingly identical height because Bambo was relatively "flat" while Naty was more "chubby". My baby is craving her weight and the Pampers diaper really suited her proportions perfectly. The Babyganics and Pampers diapers were very similar proportions, but we still preferred the Bambo to the Babyganics because it was less tight and felt more comfortable. However, Babyganics was our backup diaper and still a great diaper if you're specifically looking for an eco-friendly, unscented diaper that fits like Pampers nappies. My baby is now 12 pounds and 23 inches long and has been a size 1 since age 3 weeks - 9 weeks. She still fits size 1 but just barely. As she starts to outgrow size 1 she has more breakouts and leaks (probably 1 in 10 dirty diapers vs. 1 in 30-40 if they fit. She's still a bit small for size 2 but if our previous Experience suggests we should grow them to a size 2 and plan to transition to that size as soon as possible, starting out at size 1. Fit Tips: You may need to attach the tabs all the way to the front center panel to ensure your child fits snug enough if your child is skinny. Fit tips to ensure the leg openings fit snugly and the back of the diaper well. When you're done, it won't hurt anyone! QUALITY can't say enough, other reviewers and BabyGearLab (so I found this diaper brand) are not covered yet I agree with previous reviews of the amazing absorption and quality of these diapers It can easily pass 2-3 large portions of urine for the night common use. My baby is a mighty wet fart/knockdown machine and this diaper can hold back all but the most explosive of her eruptions. It's also the softest, most comfortable diaper I've ever seen. Elastic LED ruffles are soft and stretchy. Inside like fabric. The diaper does not rub or leave marks on my baby's skin. ECO FRIENDLY This diaper is truly fragrance and dye free and Abena/Bambo is incredibly transparent about what they do (visit their website for more info than you thought). I want a diaper). I feel good putting my baby in this diaper. Maybe not as good as cloth diapers, but they're hard to beat for disposable diapers. WARNINGS - Large size (see size section above and my comparison photo) - Expensive. As a breastfed newborn, my baby could easily use more than 10 nappies a day or 3 packs a week for the first few weeks. Now she changes 5-7 diapers a day or 2 packs a week. We strongly recommend that you use Subscribe & Save to keep costs down, but even then you can still pay 15-30% more for Bambo compared to other brands or regular diapers. For me, an extra $15-20 per month is doable, but I understand that's not possible for everyone. Aside from those two caveats, I have literally no complaints about this diaper. All baby bottoms are different (and adorable!), but for us, this is the diaper holy grail.
