Bought these to replace the interior light on my 2008 GMC Yukon. Firstly, the package I received was already opened so obviously it was a return. Immediately after unpacking I had 2 defective bulbs. Since there are 20 in the box and I needed them right away, I chose not to return them all. As shown in their photos, they have a flat side. It should be noted that only one side of these lamps has LEDs. On the other hand no, but that doesn't really matter since one side gives more than enough light. As you can see, the design of these lamps does not have the same shape as the lamps they replace. The original bulbs (I have 212-2) are tubular, shaped like an old school fuse, and easy to insert. That brings me to the next question. Be that as it may, the base of these lamps is too small to simply snap into place. I had to manually compress/tighten the clamps on the machine to make them work. Once I did that I was able to rotate and adjust the angle of the flat side to reduce the amount of light. In fact, I pointed them up because they're too bright straight down, even with the caps closed. Three stars because they are nice and white and you get a lot for the price, but I had to work on their imperfections to make it work.
