Non-Apple cable will not fit.
Unfortunately I bought these to use with iPad/iPhone compatible cables, not Apple cables. These cables are thicker and these clips will not fit. I will keep these and use them with existing Apple cables that I have, but since they are only 3ft I can't usually use my iPad/iPhone when it's plugged in. They seem to work well to protect the fork.
