Sorry for the long story but I had to do a BRC course to get my motorcycle license and put these gloves to the test a bit. Upon check in I was required to bring leather riding gloves and was advised they must be leather. So I figured if I were going to buy gloves I might as well buy armored ones and they looked like a good choice. I followed the manual measurement instructions and got the recommended size, but I read in other reviews that there is some "breaking-in time" so I planned on wearing it every day about a week before class, so they stay comfortable. I put them on and clenched my fists to stretch them, but after about a few minutes my knuckles started to hurt from the armored joints. So I put up with it and didn't wear it again until the BRC course. When we started the BRC course the instructor said we could wear something like gardening gloves as long as they weren't rubber, so I took some gardening gloves but threw them in the car just in case. The course was 2 days of skiing and the first day the temperature was over 50 but very windy. I put on my gardening gloves and soon noticed my fingers were getting cold. Right after the first break I went to the car and put these gloves on. These gloves proved perfect, they kept my hands warm enough to be comfortable for the rest of the day and since the handles didn't clench into a fist, the armor didn't hurt my knuckles at all. The next day the temperature was in the 70's and there was no wind. I wore these gloves in direct sunlight from 8am to 5pm and while I did feel a little sweaty at times I wouldn't say the gloves were uncomfortable. Remember that the exercises in this course, low speeds and long periods of time on the bike, no longer receive instructions and wait their turn. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't sweat at all if I rode the bike at a normal speed even in warmer temperatures. I am very happy that I received these gloves and can only recommend them.
