Review on Seirus Xtreme Weather Glove Large by David Naranjo

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good gloves but ignore the "XTREME " label.

Okay, for now, ignore that pesky "X-TREME" label. If it's -10C outside, buy some sturdy ski gloves or mittens and forget about dexterity. Do you need a real waterproofing? Take neoprene gloves and hold them out with sweaty hands. These gloves will not compete in these categories. In fact, you can find gloves that outperform these gloves in almost every category. So why four stars? What these gloves do right is strike the right balance between warmth, dryness, breathability and dexterity. You're a jack of all trades, a jack of all trades. That means there will be compromises, but I think the end result is very good. When I work outdoors, the worst conditions for me are not when the temperature drops well below zero or when there is a lot of snow, but when it is cold but not frosty and wet but not snowing (rain, sleet, freezing rain or partially melting Snow). I tolerate 10 degrees, snow over 38 degrees and rain at any time! In this humid environment, with temperatures in excess of 30 degrees, Seirus gloves outperform their very own. They offer excellent wind protection, enough insulation to keep out the cold, a solid waterproofing to handle wet tools and offer compared to most Gloves still have a degree of dexterity. Too bad these gloves are being sold as is. . People come expecting gloves to be not much thicker than driving gloves to provide all the warmth of a ski glove. This could explain the low ratings. Sorry folks, with all the modern technology, you still can't find a glove that's super warm and super thin at the same time. And *no* gloves have been 100% waterproof and breathable in my experience, especially since every glove has a large gaping hole (that's where you put your hand) through which water might eventually get in. However, I have yet to find another glove that is as thin and nimble and offers the same level of protection from cold and rain/snow. Conditions I do you should definitely try these gloves. I found them very good.
