Beautiful pastel colors and buttery texture

I first bought a 72 color set from Mungyo gallery and thought I need more pastel/light colors. Painting oil pastels for personal pleasure, so I decided to give Paul Rubens a try. 1. Texture: buttery and soft. The texture is buttery and smoother than mungyo. compared to Mungio. 2nd layer: opaque. They lay down thickly as if impasto, while the Mungyo layers are thinner and blend better with the underlying colors than would be the case with a coating. I love the thickness that Paul Rubens gives and they give you more vibrant colors even when layered. Depending on what you need to do in each step, I would switch between mungyo and this one. 3. They deplete much faster than more complex ones: I immediately noticed that they deplete much faster than mungyo due to the smoother texture. . I'm not complaining about the affordable price and high quality though :) 4. Comes with 3 Titanium White Overall I highly recommend this if you are just starting out with oil pastels. If you like thicker and more opaque applications, get Paul Rubens. If you like less oily, drier and more liquid applications, choose Mungyo. Best to have both as they have different colors and textures :)
