Review on Bloody B188 Optical Mechanical Keyboard by Somchai Tameeyasen ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A little bit not what I expected, generally fine.

I have been using it for almost a month and during this time I am rather dissatisfied with the purchase. The keyboard turned out to be not very convenient, not only when working with text, but sometimes even in games (often there were accidental presses, etc.), due to the non-standard arrangement of the keys. In addition, it is simply impossible to work with it without illumination during the day, not to mention night time (and yes, I can type "blindly"). About the backlight itself: there are three options in total (it’s not clear why without the traditional bloody red color): blue, turquoise and green (at the same time, the wasd keys are always blue); There are also three modes, but all of them, except for the static one, are useless only if you don't like the analogue of a garland. Regarding the sound of a space - I don’t know if it’s just me or mb someone else has encountered this, but pressing the space is accompanied by a weak, but still distinctive sound. And the point here is that the lower area where the gap is located is not closed (for the sake of highlighting), i. E. it can easily get all the dirt and stuff. And in my case, apparently, something got there and caught on the space spring, hence the very sound arose, which interferes a little when working with text. In summary, what can be said? If you need an inexpensive, backlit gaming keyboard with a pleasant key travel, but at the same time you are ready to endure some of its shortcomings, then this is your choice, but if you are a maximalist or you need a keyboard not only for games, but also for third-party purposes, it is better to look for something else. : After three months of use, the WASD buttons began to stick, which is simply not permissible for a gamer. Maybe I'll change to another keyboard.

Pros
  • - Appearance; - Keystrokes; - Price; - Moisture protection.
Cons
  • - Inconvenient arrangement of keys; - It is impossible to use without backlight; - Sound when you press the space bar (more details below); - Membrane, not mechanics (but it's not surprising, for such a price); - Can stick optical keys "WASD"; - Lighting modes and number of colors.
