Probably the best conditioner bar I've used

I really do like this conditioner bar. I started searching out low-waste alternatives to the shampoo/conditioner I used which comes in plastic. I've been through so many bars at this point (most of which were from lush). I don't particularly like the lush shampoo and conditioner bars. The conditioners from lush are definitely better than the shampoos (the shampoos contain sulfates) but they are much smaller and don't last nearly as long as the ethique bars. I bought the ethique bars in the beginning of February 2019 and I still have a significant amount left now in June 2019. Overall these bars work really well; they take much longer to apply than conventional liquid conditioners. My trick to these for making sure that every strand gets saturated is to rub the bar over my hair, brush it through in the shower with a wet brush and apply one more layer of conditioner. One annoying thing about these is that they do break apart into smaller pieces towards the end which i feel like is kind of unavoidable. Even then you can still get a lot out of the smaller pieces and it doesn't take away from the fact that there's no plastic which was my goal in the first place. I think it's worth it to give these a try if you're seeking out alternatives.

Pros
  • Easy to travel with and won't spill or leak
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use on sensitive scalps
