Value for money cooling pad

When I received it, I was impressed with the design. It had a large footprint, which was important because I have an Alienware 17 and the small fans on the top work well with the laptop's fans. However, there are a few problems with this cooling pad. A common complaint is that heavier laptops tend to slide down if you adjust the pad at an angle. Having rubber pads on the surface of the cooling grille would help solve this problem. It comes with this little plastic insert that you can insert into the bottom of the cooling pad, but then you won't be able to align the laptop vents with the fans in the pad. Blowing air into the bottom of your laptop doesn't do much good. Second, my top right fan stopped spinning shortly after receiving it, so looks like I'll get another one, but maybe not from that brand. My biggest gripe with cooling pads, and not just this brand but all cooling pads, is the amount of air they don't push through. They all seem to focus on how quiet they are and I really don't care which is why I have headphones. I wouldn't care if it sounded like a squadron of F-18s simultaneously taking off from the deck of an aircraft carrier while pushing large volumes of air. I want my laptop to float three inches above the cooling pad. I want the temperature to drop 10 degrees when turned on. Get some real fans spinning at insane speeds and I'll buy your ice pack.
