Review on Authentic Philips Sonicare E-Series Replacement Toothbrush Heads, Pack of 2, White - HX7022/66 by Weston Metzger

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I don't think it's fake.

I received a package of 3 within 2 days today. I was hesitant to buy them after reading all the one star reviews I always read first. They mostly assume it's fake, made in China etc. Some have posted pictures of them in plastic bags, others have reported bad buzzing and bristles falling out. So I ordered them and then went to the Philips website and ordered the ones that haven't arrived yet. I know this is the official Philips website because my credit card was charged from the Netherlands. They're about $1.50 cheaper at Philips, as a 4-pack is about $30 with free shipping. The only difference I see is that Philips doesn't have blue bristles with a wear indicator. I know when my bristles are worn out without an indicator. So 1) The heads I received were in plastic bags but the bags were sealed; I do not mind. And I found fault with all 3 instead of 2 many 1 star reviews. 2) The Philips website says their heads are made in China. Just because they're from China doesn't mean they're fake. 3) I installed one and it vibrated just like my originals. The magnets are black (not shiny) like the original. 4) The bristles are just as hard as my originals. I have bought copies from other manufacturers in the past and they were too soft to remove plaque. They work fine. UPDATE 01/16/2021: Today I received my order directly from Philips. The four brushes came in a complex plastic/cardboard packaging. I would post a photo of the brushes but it doesn't make sense; The brushes are identical in every way, including stiffness, and they have wear-indicating blue bristles. It cost $3/27 ($9 each), Philips $4/30 ($7.50 each), free shipping for both. If you have reservations or want a better deal, please visit the Philips website. Mine from Philips were HX7024/52; They also offer HX7023/64, HX7022/64, HX7022/66. I don't know what the difference is, but the rest are about $10 each +/-. One note, even the Philips ones hum loudly when the head isn't screwed down. Even very little damping will make them sound bad. Also, I never store them with the plastics attached as this guarantees mold growth inside the plastic base. I always take the head off after each use to let everything dry. I see another 3 star review suggesting sealed bags are good and hard plastic bags are not. Can't speak to that as mine came in "nice" plastic bags. This might be something worth investigating. I'm only giving 3 stars because it's the first day. In a month or two I will edit this review and put stars. I can ONLY drop a star because I think people look at it first and a 5 star rating gets lost in the crowd. Right now I would bet 5.
