Essential if you own a MacBook Air/Pro!

A life saver for every MacBook Air/Pro owner! Trust me, you need a solution to those quirky and cumbersome ports built into the side of your laptop. Oversized by Apple, and yet the solution is in this docking hub! (Not to mention that it gives you a lot more bang for your buck. You'll be blessed with more than just two basic ports on a Mac, who doesn't have that!) After spending a lot of money on a laptop, I see his fatal flaw - with a device so thin you get the privilege of being light, but that precludes the handy ports on the side of the laptop itself. Hence the docking station! Small as a candy bar! approx. 5" long x 1.5" wide - see photos for details. I have included step by step photos showing the unboxing and fitting the item. and happy marriage! I have also compared this hub to another brand my daughter has and it is smaller with the same number of options! photo gives comp. Size comparison with Macbook itself. *Note: In order to protect the 2 pins on the hub you are connecting, I highly recommend keeping the travel box shown in the 1st photo. For safekeeping of this accessory, keep it when not in use. especially in a backpack or briefcase! (If they bend or break, the hub is obsolete.) On the left side of the Mac you will find 2 female connectors - just take the hub/dock out of the box and insert the 2 prongs into these connectors. On successful connectionโ€ฆ the green indicator will light up (see attached photo) and I like this feature as it is very useful to let you know! If the green indicator does not light up, a connection must be established. To be honest, I think the connection is good and reliable 96% of the time. Unfortunately, there is a 4% chance of failure on the first attempt to join. No panic! I believe there's just a bit of wiggle room to stiffen, tighten, straighten, or press very gently on the connectors when it's plugged in - that should give you the go-ahead and you're good to go! I've NEVER had any trouble connecting a hub, but sometimes I need the tiniest tweak to get a successful connection. That little 4% concern is my reason for deducting a x1 star! Once connected you can use it to charge phones, connect USB, insert chips (both sizes!) and connect to a printer. These are the features I've used so far and they've been excellent. I believe that all of this offers the user a price of $30 - it takes your skills to a whole other level. In fact, I wouldn't have a laptop without them! Trust me, you don't know what you're missing out on! **This is a family travel saver as I always have someone who forgets their outlet to charge their device - with this one. his problem is solved! I'm sorry it's been so long. Pooh! I just wanted to share as many details as possible hoping they provide enough information for your decision! I hope you have an easier time going through this process. Hope that helps!
