Doesn't work with Windows devices (+ horrible customer service)

Sound quality is great, although others note there isn't much bass, so look elsewhere if that's important to you. However, there are several serious flaws that make this headset unusable. First and most importantly, Headset mode is not compatible with all Windows devices. This is because in "Headset" mode, these headphones will not detect the audio input/output and will go to sleep every 10 minutes. You must be in headset mode to use the built-in microphone. Therefore, these headphones cannot be used as a Windows laptop headset - you will be constantly muted during Zoom, Skype and other conference call activities! I contacted support about this issue. They gave me a generic answer, and MONTHS later they're still trying to claim that their "engineers will be investigating this issue". Useless customer service. When you pay $1,000 for a pair of headphones, you expect better. The other major downside is that the headphones can only be charged when they're turned off, plugged into the USB-C port, and then you have to press the button for two seconds to wake them up. Charger. That's ridiculous. When I plug in the headphones, I expect them to start charging. HiFiMan claims this was done to prevent accidentally draining the battery of whatever device you're connecting to, but any device with a USB-C port will have a much larger battery (if any) than the one in the Ananda. Even after a few months of ownership, I sometimes forget to "turn on” charging and start the next day with a completely empty headset. I will return them.
