Without washers on the bottom of the latch on top of the armrest, you will not be able to close and reopen the console. Other providers supply the prescribed washers for installation, but not in this special case. Luckily I had matching washer nuts and was able to attach them in 20-30 minutes. I recommend adding an armrest cover (also pictured) with this purchase. The plastic clips under the armrest will most likely break off if you remove the padding while adding shims to the locking mechanism (so it works properly). or fixed, an armrest cover would be an easy fix.
