
So over 2 years ago I bought 2 so-called 1/2 pans because I wanted the large "cookie side pans" that I inherited from my grandmother. Watching cooking shows on these cooking channels made me realize that my new pans are not living up to their potential. I've needed racks to lift food off the bottom of the pan so it doesn't cook in its own fat, to cool pastries without getting the bottom soggy, and all sorts of other reasons as shown on these TV shows. I couldn't be happier than these wire mesh inserts as shown here. They are perfect for pots. Oh, and they came at a lean time!
