This is so much better than pull up and pull down!

I just installed one of these oiled bronze sinks. I replaced an old cheap sink that came with a Delta faucet on the sink. Installation is very easy and I'm not a plumber just a 66 year old female doing chores. My daughter lives in New Zealand and she has these push button plugs on her sinks. I'm so tired of the retractable drain pole jack that's common in the US. They rust, break and fail too easily and are difficult to handle. The hardest part was getting the old one off. The new stock has everything you need. This is a much better material than the cheap plastic I've used. Also, my sinks have overflows while old drains don't. I never thought about it until I had the choice and now I'm glad my sink overflow works properly now that it's connected to the right overflow bowl. deal with. I replace all toilet flushes with these KES push button flushes. The only thing I could have done differently would be to use piping instead of the silicone gasket that runs between the trim ring and the top of the sink, as the gasket seems to lift the trim ring up a bit and create a puddle of water. Water remains in the sink around the trim ring. From what I understand you need to use either a silicone gasket or tubing, but not both at the same time. This water pooling may also be a function of my particular sink design, so water pooling may not be an issue for all sinks. Even with the pooling I'm so happy with this button drain style. Some reviews say the drain doesn't hold water. I had this problem at first but found that it can be solved by making sure the small filter basket is screwed on tightly. Once the basket was tight, the drain kept the sink filled with water all night with no leaks. I am buying 4 more for all the other sinks in my house.
