Review on πŸͺ CamelBak Sparta Hydration Pack with 3.0L Mil-Spec Crux Reservoir - Ultimate Hydration Gear by Dustin Berry

Thoughtful and not too big

Having the Thermobak Milspec 3L backpack for music festivals, days at the beach etc, I knew I wanted my next main pack to be designed to be used as a Type hydration pack can be worn. This backpack is spot on in terms of size: at 19.7 x 12.2 x 11 inches it's slightly larger than most major airlines' 18 x 14 x 8 inch personal belongings, but that shouldn't be a problem for storage . It's under the seat if you're not repacking. I looked at the HAWG which is a similar size but I prefer the fully opening clamshell of this pack. What I liked: - Familiar Camelbak build quality and materials - Contoured foam that helps the pack sit flat on your back even when the hydration bladder is full - Comes with a new lumbar bladder to reduce weight - The hydration bladder compartment is huge and can probably hold two people Hydration bladder, lumbar or high - Has a hanging loop for compatibility with older hydration bladders (I have two Antidot bladders so it's great) - When the hydration bladder is not in use, the hydration bladder is large enough for a 15-inch laptop - Lots of pockets Things I noticed are neither good nor bad: - The waist belt is sewn on, but you can remove it. It takes a little work, but there is room for both the clip and the strap. The two regular cargo holds have drain holes, so pack anything really small carefully.
