I bought this bin because I needed a small bin with a lid. I have a cat that was having trouble stealing wrappers or paper cuts so had to be stopped. For the reason I bought this basket it's perfect and I haven't had any issues so far. However, I must point out some critical remarks that are important. The aluminum hulled bin itself has a 1.3 gallon capacity BUT the black bucket liner it comes with is closer to .5 gallons - you can see in the photos I posted that the green bin is next to the Product purchased holds 1.2 gallons2. The quality of the product is not perfect and without the liner or bucket, the lid looks deformed or misaligned3. The weight distribution for the pedal is switched off. When you use it, the can tips over on you. I really like the color and the simplicity of the design so I won't rate it harshly. I currently use it without a bucket and only use the 1.2 gallon liners I have and it works great for me. I have had this basket for 4 months now and it is still in perfect condition.
