I use them without restrictions: as paws for my birds. My parrot loves to chew them (don't worry she won't swallow them). My other birds will peck at them, sometimes chew them and often scatter them. They love bright colors. i love the price I used to find porcupine bullets everywhere and only paid about a dollar each from 12-24. Now they are very hard to find, especially at the cheap price. You have to change them quite often because my parrot literally bites off 2-3 balls of each of the thorns a day. They get mixed up with other foot toys but this is definitely one of their favorite toys that makes them happy. I would definitely recommend them to other "parrot" feathered friends as an addition to their bird toys.
