Review on πŸŒ€ Revolutionary Reusable silicone filters with replaceable inner filters for maximum effectiveness by Steven Ferguson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Unfortunately had to deduct four stars, this "mask " is DANGEROUS nonsense IMO

Update: I'm a nurse, originally gave a rave review but am now convinced it's a DANGEROUS design. Check out the attached photos - there are only four tiny protrusions holding the filter to the silicone. THERE IS NO GASKET TO HOLD THE FILTER ONTO THE SILICONE. You are breathing air directly AROUND the filter, NOT THROUGH the filter. Would you like to check it out? Cut a piece of cling film the same size as the filter, insert the filter into the mask plastic side up (facing out so the plastic is next to the holes) and see how easy it is to breathe - You win. You won't even notice the difference. In the end I returned it. I'm really ashamed that I didn't go back and changed my review immediately. If you're wondering what I'm wearing, I bought "Envomask", a NIOSH certified N95 silicone gel reusable mask. Frame and replaceable filters made in the USA. $79 but I feel safe, it's NIOSH certified and can be tested for suitability in a hospital. Due to the air leak around the filter it's imo like wearing a mask at all. Why did I love this mask in the first place? Because the silicone is very comfortable and REALLY provides a great seal between the silicone and your face. But the filter is held 1/2-3/4" from your face and there is NO SEAL between the filter and the silicone on the front of the mask. Breathing with this mask feels exactly the same with and without the filter, no resistance because you are not breathing through the filter, you are breathing around it.There was a sort of continuous silicone rim around the filter insert.
