I was pleased to find this countertop as it was exactly the dimensions I was looking for at about half the price I could find elsewhere. However, when I cleaned it a week after installing it, I noticed what looked like water stains around the edges of the glass. After trying several different glass cleaners but to no avail, I found that the glass was damaged. It looks like really hard water with a lot of minerals built up on it making the glass pimply. I don't know if it really was like that, but it looks like it. It is on both sides of the glass along the edges. The room this countertop is in has downlights and a floor lamp, and the damage is much more apparent when the overhead lights are on (not invisible with a flashlight or daylight in natural light, but less noticeable and less visible). aggravating). If I had saved the packing material I would have returned it as damaged (but the hassle and expense of finding packing material to return such a large and heavy item is not worth it now for the price I paid).
