I bought it to hook an ultralight umbrella to a backpack strap on advice of another hiker. Took a long time to arrive, delivery date kept being pushed back. Seemed like extremely flimsy plastic when I received it. I installed it anyway and tried it out. It broke the first time I clicked the umbrella into it. The umbrella wasn't too wide for it, the plastic was just that delicate and flimsy. I would suggest threading even a plastic tube through the hole. Don't try to move the cheap plastic clamp to slide the hose under it. It is likely to break.
