Review on Soft and Safe Baby Brush + Comb by Dr. Brown's: The Perfect Baby Care Set by Dionne Powers

Good Starter Kit Nail Scissors is Intimidating

Essential Care Kit by Dr. Brown is definitely for babies, with the exception of nail scissors. Nail scissors are a little intimidating for parents trying to trim a wavy baby's nails. For an infant I would recommend purchasing a nail file in addition to this set. This is a good start for a baby shower though as the comb works well on thicker hair and the brush works well on finer hair so you have the base. The syringe and pacifier will come in very handy for administering medication to the children, but luckily I haven't had a chance to test them since I got the kit. The bulb is smaller than the typical suction cups you get in a hospital or doctor's office, but the material is really flexible and offers good suction, see image for comparison. The ice pack remains a gel but has stiff seams when frozen so it should not be used to wrap an arm or leg. It works better on flatter areas like back, face etc. Summary: This is a good set for first time parents but I would recommend getting at least a nail file if they are quite young. .
