Review on Stay Cool Anywhere With DISONCARE 60H 4 Insulin Pen Cooler - TSA Approved Medication Travel Cooler For Diabetics And EpiPen Carrying Case With Medical Tag by Kim Bardgett

Works, but misleading

I liked the compact size of this, although for needing to hold 1 insulin pen or vial, it is a bit bulky and not the most attractive thing to carry around. The first thing I noticed is the picture showing how many insulin bottles or pens can be held is misleading. I can barely fit 1 vial of novolog. And then it rattles all around as there is empty space for it to slide up and down from movement. And second, the lid has deteriorated only after 2 months use in summer, the metal fitting over the plastic lid came off, and now it is just the black plastic lid that remains. It is just coated in a thin layer of stainless steel around it.Also, the blue ice pack it came with cracked and I have to use tape to keep it all together, as the emergency empty white ice pack is not sufficient. If I were to go on a trip, I would have to purchase 2 or 3 of these to fit my insulin because I can only fit 1 insulin pen or bottle in 1 of these insulated bottles. (I bought the normal, smaller size that shows it fitting 2 insulin pens.A little disappointing as I spent a good chunk of money on this insulin cooling container.Although, it has started to deteriorate, it still does a good job of keeping my insulin cool, while out in the hot and humid texas climate.

Pros
  • Perfect for insuline it will keep it fresh for 24 hours, depending on the outside temp
Cons
  • It may not be TSA approved in all cases or may require additional screening at airport security
