I bought this to go with to install on my new Pioneer 1500NEX. It came with a USB cable but I wanted it to look like an OEM cable. I installed it on the underside of my car's center console. Honestly, it looks pretty original. other vehicle I don't think that length would work. I know they sell a 6 inch version but I believe with Android Auto and AppleCarplay they limit the length of the cable. So 6 inches would be too long plus my cable. I hope the manufacturer makes the USB-C end and not the larger USB port that you plug the cable into. Entry and exit of the cable from the connector, so it will most likely become loose over time. To be honest I'd rather it than be free. So the stars are not removed. One of the manufacturer's suggestions would be to allow the use of a flip cover when using its mount. At the moment you cannot use the flip cover with its holder, as the round USB part will not snap into the holder.
