I got this belt for my boss as a birthday present. Some of us at work have ratchet straps and my boss became interested when we showed him the benefits of a ratchet strap. To be honest, once you switch to a ratchet, you'll never go back to a regular belt with holes. I have had the same ratchet strap for over 2 years now and it is still in perfect condition. Billy, pat that particular strap, it's about an inch wider than my ratchet strap. But some people like a slightly wider strap. This is a really nice belt and my boss is very impressed with it. I didn't want to ask him to take a picture of the belt on him but he wore it to work and still wears it.
