These are really good swimming shoes. The outsole is flexible yet thick and durable. Some of our swimming shoes had very thin soles and you could still feel every stone. These shoes will not slip on smooth surfaces. The children could run well on the slide. Only the insole falls off. On some pairs (we have a lot of this brand) the insole is perforated but it is glued into the boot. This way the sand gets into the small holes, but you can't take out the insole to clean it. On other pairs, the insole is a glued piece of fabric. What was stuck crooked on a couple and sticky glue got to his son's leg. Then the fabric won't stay glued after the sand hits the sticky spots.
