If the installation fails, reverse the spring.
installation failed. After installing a new spring, the damper will not function properly. I've tried reinstalling multiple times with no success. After struggling with a broken door latch for a few more days, I decided to flip or reverse the spring when installing. This setup worked well and the door leaf now works correctly. So if you have installed and the door still has problems, reverse the spring. I'm happy now.
