Ordered 2 of these for use at a poorly lit entrance. I put batteries in both and ONE is nice and bright, the other is pretty dim and doesn't put out much light at all. . . I want to return the dim light, but I opened (cut open) the package. Update, I was able to get a replacement for the dim light. But I have to say that overall these lamps are probably a waste of money. They don't give off enough light - I have battery operated flashlights in my closet that shine bright and turn on instantly. So I wanted them for a dark porch and I liked the idea that they look good. But they don't work as well as my cheap closet lights ($9 for 3 vs $12 each).
