My short haired dog loves to walk in the snow and now he doesn't tremble in this jacket. My 40 lb pit bull carries 4x. 5x is better if you have a big dog. Especially if you want to wear a shirt or fleece underneath for extra cold adventures. Velcro straps are easy to trim if you buy a size larger than you need. I love that it has a velcro combo under belly/chest/neck: this keeps it securely in place without choking. Other jackets have always slipped through my dog one way or another, but not like this. The lining is made of pleasantly soft material. The black jacket is quite eye-catching because it is so cheap. The cut is perfectly shaped to cover as much of your dog as possible without restricting their movement. Best jacket for a large dog you can buy imo. At all costs.
